All of these postings on the transportation around WDW has made me wonder where to stay during the peak season. We're planning on going during Easter 2008. My first choice is the CR because of it's location, monorail and of course, the view. But with the construction, I'm wondering if that's a good choice. Plus, the swimming pool is lacking compared to, let's say SAB and the family DH, DD11, DS8, DD6 LOVE to swim. The family is really excited about YC and they prefer to stay there. However, if we're traveling during peak season and the transportation getting to and from the YC needs improving, are we better off to stay at the CR? I mean, are there any complaints about the transportation system to/from CR?

TIA!

I would say the Contemporary has amaizing transportation. How can you beat not staying somewhere with the Monorail, plus if you think about it they are the best MK Resort for transportation on the Monorail and here is why. They are the 1st stop when leaving the Magic Kingdom, so if your planning on going to the TTC, Polynesian or Grand Floridian you go in a straight line to those locations. Plus they are the only Resort with a walkway to the Magic Kingdom which is about a 10 minute walk. As for the buses when going to MGM or AK they are ok, however the bus to Downtown Disney is horrible. Although I hear bus transportation to Downtown Disney is bad at all WDW Resorts, so it's not just a problem with the Contemporary.
