Anyone stay there before? Thoughts? I got an email for $52/night. Sounds reasonable.

We stayed there 2 years ago for a week (it is our timeshare company). It is nice. There are BBQs you can use. Depending on the type of room you get it is suite-like. There is a couch area with a small table and a TV and a small fridge (bigger than a mini fridge), a microwave with a large granite counter on top and the bedroom is separate. We actually took some prepared meals, dishes and a crock pot and ate some meals in our room for dinner.

The pool is kinda cool because it is totally covered. So regardless of the weather, you can use it and if it is really hot, you are protected from the sun.

There was a parking charge, I think $10 a day.

The ART picks up right in front every 20 minutes.

That's all I can remember for now. If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask.

We stayed there last January- we loved it! The room was great, totally renovated- it had a living room with couch, fridge, flat screen etc. The bedroom had a nice flatscreen and we found the bed really comfy as well!

We didn't go in the pool but we did enjoy the hot tub.

We walked rather than taking the ART and it was about 10 minutes.
Free breakfast was fine as well, a little crowded but good enough.

We would be staying there for our stay in february but it was only $50 to add staying at the Castle Inn onto our flights so had to go with that.

I found the front desk staff excellent as well.

Loved it!

Good to know! It was in need of a little renovation. We may be staying there next month for a couple days. Glad to know the walk isn't bad too.

Looking at the map on the room we did have one of the end rooms which are nice and large, no I don't know if all the rooms as as nice? :confused3 I would say it was the best, if not one of the best- third floor, end room.

We found the walk just fine but we are two active late 20 somethings- we didn't have kids or strollers...we especially enjoyed the walk at the end of the day, but we like to walk so?

Stayed twice, good for the price through DDs timeshare, includes simple (and crowded) continental breakfast. We used ART. Don't like the manditory valet parking ($8-10) a day. The rooms are small for a studio.
Last trip we tried HoJo and liked it much more.

Just checked out of the Peacock 2 days ago and thought I'd add an update.

The 2nd floor is currently being renovated. We were on the third floor, where the reno's are complete. The first night, instead of the 2 bedroom suite we had reserved, we were put into 2 rooms with 2 queen beds (7 of us total). FANTASTIC rooms! Nice size, mini fridge with a freezer and a big sink for washing the dishes. The couch also pulled out, but we didn't need it.

The next day, due to the room switcheroo, the hotel staff took all of our baggage to the new room, the 2 bedroom suite. Nice use of the space; 2 queens in a separate room with a bathroom, dresser, armoire and flat screen TV. Main room has 4 chairs, dining room table, mini fridge and freezer but an odd lack of sink. There is plenty of room for it...but it is not there. Next to the table is the pull out queen sofa bed. Main bedroom has a comfy king bed and another full bathroom. The 7 of us had no problem in it.

ART prices are currently: $10/adult for 3 day pass and $2/child for 3 day pass, through the kiosk in front of the main lobby door. The front desk staff was great. Except one guy who was having a bad day. Poor Bobby. Valet parking is $10/night and I think it's hilarious that they suggest tipping. Our van was literally pulled 12 feet away and parked. For 4 days. If I was coming and going, I would have tipped.

The bbq's are nice and clean! Used them once. Kids used the pool or spa every day. The breakfast is always crowded, but always well stocked. I feel so badly for the people that have rooms down that hallway.
