Peachtree Anyone

Are there any WISHERS doing Peachtree on Saturday? If so post you time group.

I am in your Group... but it's going to be ugly. I have been in California working 20 hour days for the past 5 weeks. (just got home today) It's also NOT hot and humid there.........

So between no training and no exposure to the heat/humidity YIKES!@

I will be in TG2 as well!

The heat hasn't been too bad at 7 the last couple mornings so there is a little hope. Of course, I am definately acclimated to it! And I am the most trained I have ever been for a Peachtree. (Thats not saying very much)

I just want it to be fun!

Also, TG2! DH got TG1, but has decided to fall back and run with me.
It is also gonna be ugly for me. Still having shin problems and now my old knee injury is bothering me. I'm just hoping to finish it and not get run over!

Wow! That was fun!

Finished with a garmin time of 56:34 so I was thrilled. 10 minutes faster than my first peachtree and I felt great the whole run.

Best Part: I don't know who decided to give away ice cream at the finish but that was AWESOME! Definately beats beer at 8:30 in the morning!

I thought the tshirt was a bit lame this year.

The first mile was super slow as we darted around all the people starting at a crawl. From then on it just got faster and faster:

9:22 - I could have gone faster if people would move right to stop.

2:13 - however, my Garmin said 6.3 at the end. Thats .1 mile of weaving.

WAY TO GO CECILIA!

I did my PR for a 10K on this one. Not near as fast as you, but 1:13 something (don't have the watch up here) For me that was great. The boyfriend thinks it was the run off of the adreline (I spelled that wrong) that I have been running on for the past month. Maybe he's right.

The ice cream was a nice touch. The return to Piedmont Park was SO MUCH nicer then the parking lot at the Civic Center last year.

All in all I am very happy!

Tshirt is OK, but the other half loves it. In his view T-shirts should ONLY be white or gray!

Someday I will have to learn how to do splits, but maybe I don't want to know..... LOL!

I agree it was a lot of fun. I finished about 1 minute behind you. My garmin said the same thing 6.3 as I did a lot of weaving at the beginning. I had no expectations for this year's race and no plan of action. I just went out nice and easy and felt great the whole way. My time was 57:37.
