Hi all,
We leave for our DLR vacation in nine days. We will be arriving at LAX after 11pm and then heading to our hotel via shuttle. Given that we are travelling across North America (from Halifax, Nova Scotia on Tuesday, I'm not sure how tired &/ or jet lagged we'll be on Wednesday. We might decide to have a park day on Wednesday, but I'm not counting on it.
Are we able to access PCH Grill without activating our tickets? I'd like to start our trip with a visit there for the kitchen sink.

Of course :) The Paradise Pier Hotel is not in one of the Parks of Disneyland Resort. We generally opt to do our character dining at Surfs Up! On a non park touring day. Works great!

Thanks. That's what I thought but I wanted to be sure. Next question - if we are just going for the kitchen sink, should I still make a dining reservation?

My general advice is make an reservation if you know you're us want to eat somewhere specific and/or at specific time. You can sometimes get walk-ups, but there are also times when places are full or have very long standby waits. Even if you're only going for dessert, you'll still need a table, so I would still make a reservation if at all possible. Have fun!

We are going for just a kitchen sink on a non-park day too, I made a reservation because I figure better safe than sorry. It is a really busy time at DLR.

PCH Grill at Paradise Pier...Story Tellers, Napa Rose, Whitewater Snacks and Hawthorne Lounge at Grand Californian and Goffy's Kitchen, Steakhouse 55 and Trader Sam's at Disneyland Hotel are all accessible without park entry.

And of course everything in Downtown Disney.

It is a giant sundae.

Description from menu:
Kitchen Sink
Ice Cream (Ten scoops!) and Whipped Cream served in a Kitchen Sink and tell us what you don't want on it $22.49

We have a tradition of eating one for dinner at both WDW and DLR. I can't figure how to link a single post but if you google "PCH Grill kitchen sink" lots of images pop up.
