Any thoughts or opinions...I never really hear anyone talk about this one...so is there a reason why?? If you have photos can you share them? Thanks!! I appreciate it.

WE loved it!!!! The food was great and everything.. I have pictures, but don't know how to post them...
The interaction was great and the food was really good. Buffet or order off the menu...

Pineapple scones.
Rice in a rice cooker.
Nice open space with lots of light.
Daisy Duck.
Leis as you are seated.
Order off the menu or get the buffet.

We enjoyed ourselves!

DH especially liked the scone, and he found a banana stuffed french toast, and also found out that they will make an omelete to your specifications. He had a cheese and jalapeno one. :scared:

For the character meal, I can do either buffet or menu?? :confused3 Or does it have to be buffet?

You guys posted while I was writing, but yes, you can do either. You're in the same room as everyone else, with the characters roaming and playing, and they don't care what you're eating. :)

Stitch and the back of DS's head.

We really like it here. I took my nana here last time, and she loved it. She loved it more than Goofy's. Love the character interaction. And they have a good selection. I think I need to go back soon.

Now I don't know which one I would like to do.
I am torn between Goofy's Kitchen and Lilo and Stitch.

Thats exactly why I asked. :) It was between those two for us also. Were going for Ds 7th Birthday for one night so we decided to take him to a character meal. We've done goofys a few times already and loved it, but we figured we try this one this time. I guess I'm kind of glad that we chose it now. ;)

I've been to this one as well as the Minnie one in the park--I much prefer the Lilo and Stitch one--much better character interaction and being able to order "off the menu" meant that for once I wasn't paying for a buffet meal that I couldn't get the value of food-wise (I just don't eat that much). My Red Hat Society group went in early December and they treated us like queens! They really LOVED our hats (the characters took a picture of themselves wearing OUR hats!) and we were there almost 2 1/2 hours because they would not let us LEAVE. Can you tell we're a fun group? (Next up--the pajama breakfast!)

I've decided to do both! Lol. We are going to do Lilo and Stitch breakfast and Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. Since we're there for 5 days we have time to spread them out over a couple of days.

I was totally set on doing Minnie's since I know what to expect, but this has convinced me to give Lilo and Stitch a try. My son loves stitch and goodness knows, my daughter will get plenty of character interaction either way, so this will give my son a chance to really enjoy himself.

We are doing the same on our trip. We have ate at Goofy's for breakfast and had a blast, so we thought we would try dinner this time around. We are hitting Lilo's the first morning of our first full day at the park. It starts the day out right meeting all the characters.

If we order off the menu, is it only lunch and dinner? I can't seem to find a Breakfast menu anywhere.

No there's a breakfast menu too. I think Allears has one posted on their site, although it's old (and the prices may be out of date). The menu breakfasts averaged $10-11 if I recall (warning--the breakfast burrito is huge!)

Lilo & Stitch is a bit more laid back than Goofy's. The food was good and they offered a nice assortment. The banana french toast was very good!

Minnie came and offered a photo opportunity. Sorry no good photos to offer because somebody had played with my camera settings. Grrrrr! The kids played games and danced around with the characters. Later the characters also made rounds at each table.

It wasn't too crowded but it was quite a hike from our hotel across Harbor. Make sure to allow plenty of time to get there!

Here's some of our photos:

This is the only character meal we have ever gone to. We love it. In fact, we did it twice on our last trip. It's convenient though- we always stay at the Paradise Pier Hotel. The first time we did it, I remember selecting the buffet because there wasn't much of a price difference between that and the menu. I didn't look into it this time though, we just went ahead w/ the buffet both mornings.

We've done 4 of the 5 character meals, and Lilo & Stitch and Goofy's Kitchen are our favorites. I think you'll like them both! :goodvibes

We did GK dinner (twice), and it is a nice buffet, nice variety of foods. The characters do a little show every 45 min - hour, a brief music and dancing thing where they get the kids up to dance with them. It's the liveliest of all the character meals we've been to, and we saw quite a few characters there each time (around 7, I think.)

For Lilo & Stitch we had an early morning seating, and so the tables were net yet full. The characters came around and spent a lot of time with each child. Stitch is especially playful and made the boys laugh. In addition to Lilo & Stitch, we met Minnie, Pluto, and at least one other character. There is a bit of a show where the kids can get up and play a musical-chairs type game with Stitch.

This is from '06, and I post the link b/c it took me ages to find, and I didn't want to put anyone else through that search. http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_pchb.htm

The price on the buffet is definitely out of date, so I would imagine the prices on the menu items are as well.

We've just done breakfast, early reservation, and have always enjoyed it. Convenient for us 'cause we stay at PP alot. Minnie ::MinnieMo sat down with my son during one visit drew him a picture then sat and colored with him for awhile...it was pure Disney magic for everyone at our table :flower3: We've done both the buffet and ordered from the menu - each time very good. Never been to GK but have heard great things about it so I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Enjoy!
