I'm looking at staying at either the Radisson or Country Inn & Suites and doing the Stay and Park option. I have a couple of questions.

How often do shuttles run in the morning to the port?
What time do they start running?
What time do they start picking up at the port at the end of the cruise?
Is there usually a long wait for the shuttles to get to the port or to get back to the hotel at the end of the cruise?

We are headed to WDW right after the cruise and trying to decide if I want to park a the port for a quick getaway or if I have the patience to deal with waiting for a shuttle.

Thanks in advance for the replies!

As far as the after cruise shuttle question...when you doe out of the port, you tell someone what wdw resort you're going to. They take you right over to that shuttle, already waiting, and you get on. They wait until the bus is almost full, the longest I've waited has been 15 min, and then you're on your way. It takes about 80 min to get to the wdw & they take you right to your resort. It's pretty easy.

Thank you but I meant the hotel shuttle. I am planning to do a park and stay so I will need to go back to the hotel to get my car. I would like to know how often the hotel shuttles run.

I cannot answer all of your questions, but I'll tell you about our experience with Country Inn and Suites in March. We did stay overnight. We were able to pick a shuttle time the day before checkin from among pick up times every half hour. Early times had filled up since i forgot to call the day before and picked our time at checkin,so don't know how early they start. it didn't matter since we chose a time of 12:30 closest to our PAT. You meet in a hotel conference room a few minutes before your shuttle pick up time for instructions from shuttle driver on how the shuttle works and everyone is given a slip of paper to call the shuttle driver for pickup upon debarkation. We got there more than a few mins early I guess and they had room on the 12 noon shuffle to take us early. Driver loads and unloads all luggage and was hilarious also! Shuttle to port was less than 5 mins. Called upon debarkation and they were there for pick up w/in 5 mins. So easy and hassle free. I'd definitely use them again.

I agree, we will use them again in the future.

I have stayed at the Radisson and used the Park & Cruise option on 3 different occasions, most recently this past Oct. (which was by far the best experience so far). Once you make your cruise package reservation at the Radisson, you can call the hotel and make your shuttle reservations. No need to wait until right before the cruise. The earliest shuttle is 10:00 and they leave every 30 minutes. You wait in the lobby for them to call out your shuttle time, at which time you go outside in front on the hotel and wait for your party's name to be called. It's only a 5 minute ride to the port. When we disembarked the ship this past Oct., there was a Radisson shuttle waiting and we were able to get right on. The driver handles your luggage and then will drop you off in the parking lot, usually right by your vehicle, or least very close. We are usually on the road fairly quickly after leaving a cruise.

We always stay in Orlando and park at their parking. We have always had really prompt service for shuttles. Twice out of 3 cruises, a shuttle has been there before we got to the sidewalk on our way back from the cruise and once, we waited 10 min (although it was 9:30 at that time, pretty late for a cruise debarkation. The early times at 7:30 and 8, they have been there ready and waiting.) We have used them 3 times and would use them again, speaking from a shuttle standpoint.

I'm so glad that you asked this since I was researching this question earlier today. :thumbsup2 I think I'll try the Radisson in 2 1/2 weeks!:cloud9:

We've used CI&S twice and both times pick-up (calling the number they provide when dropping you at the terminal) had the shuttle there in less than 10 minutes. Less than 1/2 hour out of Customs we were on the road after having picked up our van parked at the hotel. To park at the terminal I'd not do if having a park and cruise pkg for how little time it takes one to get back to their car offsite.

I do not believe they start shuttling people earlier than the first scheduled PAT. I know we chose the earliest shuttle the first time there and had a long wait in the terminal. Our 2nd time with the shuttle booked as close to our chosen PAT, we seemed to be through the terminal in no time.

Ditto on CI&S - great experience both times we've used them. You can about see the ships from their location, that's how close it is. Shuttle service is quick, efficient and extremely friendly. Very family friendly (help with questions, luggage, etc).

Also quick back from the ship - echo another comment that within 30 mins after debarkation we were on the road headed home.

Country Inn & Suites starts running shuttles at 9:30 or 10 a.m. We stayed there in May and loved it...SO easy to eat the breakfast included and then meet in their conference room to take the shuttle. We actually had the first shuttle time and were waiting in the conference room early when the shuttle driver came in and asked if anyone was ready to go. Us and another family said sure so she took us over even earlier. It was easy and convenient.
