I know this has been asked a hundred times; but I am putting a different spin on it. My friend and I are dumping, I mean leaving, our families home to have a "girls only" five night trip to WDW and Universal. Hey, I know it's not long enough, but with a 4 year old son, I thought this was all I better risk, lol. My husband and I have stayed at Portofino, so I know it is beautiful, but I was able to get a really good entertainment rate at RPR for 119.00 a night. Portofino would cost us about $120.00 extra over a three night period. (which means only 60.00 a person, since we are splitting the cost) I know the rooms are smaller at RPR, but the resort appears to be really nice. Any opinions? Would I be let down after having stayed at Portofino? (I know the bathroom is alot smaller at RPR) Also, we will be coming from AKL and I don't want my friend to be let down by the room. Basically, this is all about room quality, not resort amenities because I think RPR would be more than sufficient based on that criteria.

I've heard it is a beautiful resort; it is actually comparably sized to AKL, I believe.

RPR and AKL have very similiar wood tones. PBH would be easier to get an upgrade. I'd save the 120.
