Has anyone here ever used PBH room service? If so, how was the food? Is it standard room service blah or above average? I would love to gaze at a copy of the room service menu if someone could point me in that direction.

Also--I have read that the pizza at Sal's is a must. Will they package the pizza to go to take back to the room? Do any of the other restaurants readily package menu items to-go?

Boy, this post is coming off as if I am anti-social wanting to eat in the room.:rotfl2: Actually, my youngest DD is in the autism spectrum so we sometimes like to eat meals in the room so she can decompress without so much stimulation after a day in the parks.

Thanks!

Don't feel bad about preferring to be in the room to eat. Our son has ADHD. He was 7 by the time we could handle a restaurant situation. By that time, we just got so comfortable being able to bring food home and eat it in our comfy clothes while watching tv that the habit stuck. At least this way you don't have to waste time standing around for a table, wait staff, etc. Our son is now 17 and we still prefer take out.

Don't know how PBH food is. Can't wait for August when we can try Sals. It will be our first stay at PBH.

WOW! I could have written that post. Other than Disney, there are only 2 restaurants we have taken our DD. She is better in restaurants now but her outbursts and food allergies make it difficult in most places. That is one thing we love about WDW. They are great with allergies and there are so MANY kids that it takes the pressure off us as parents if she has some emotional outbursts at dinner. We also don't choose the more adult venues with the kids. We don't like to be too scheduled on vacation so we only schedule TS meals for say...4 out of 7 days and the rest are CS, room service, or in room meals for the kiddos from groceries we get from gardengrocer. DD gets so distracted in restaurants that she doesn't eat much so it is also a waste of money.

I am also looking forward to Sal's pizza. I have heard such great reviews of their pizza:thumbsup2 This will be our first trip to PBH and Universal.

We haven't tried room service at PBH. They may have a menu on allearsnet.com. I'll look.

I'm pretty sure you can get take-out at Sal's. Sal's has really great pizza. My 11 year old son was just saying the other day that he thought they had the best pizza he's ever had.

I didn't find their room service menu. Maybe someone here took a picture of it and will post it for you.

Awesome!!!!! Thank you:hug:

Menu looks pretty good. Maybe we will try something one evening.

We have had some great meals with PBH room service.

And yes, you can do take out from Sal's. Often when we go to the pool, I will walk around to Sal's to get a pizza rather than do the pool pizza.

Actually, I am pretty sure we have done take out from Trattoria too.

Thanks:goodvibes What is your favorite from Trattoria? Do they have a specialty that everyone always orders?

The spaghetti and meatballs is some of the best and is often raved about. My kids always order it.

I also like the lobster ravioli.

We had had breakfast from their room service menu. My DH and I each had eggs benedict and a side of bacon, fresh orange juice and cappucino. Everything was excellent.

We also had dinner from their room service menu. MY DH had spaghetti and meatballs - he loved it. I had their ravioli and it was also very good.

You can get take out pizza from Sal's. Tell them that you will be taking it back to your room and they will pack it up for you. We love Sal's pizza - it's a must do every time we stay at the Portofino Bay. Have fun on your trip.

Sounds like spaghetti and meatballs and the ravioli are a hit. I will be looking forward to that and Sal's good pizza after being in WDW. I have to say the pizza in Disney is somewhat....blah. Thanks for the info:goodvibes

We had the gluten free pasta and it was delicious. 2 meals was enough to feed a small army and then some. Meatballs are huge and the salad just kept coming with a delicious homemade dressing.
