What flavor of jelly do you use?

We always go for grape. Tried strawberry once, but I didn't like it much (love it on toast, just not with peanut butter).

My older son and I use strawberry. My husband uses raspberry. My daughter doesn't like jams/jellies at all, and my younger son doesn't like peanut butter. Lately, though, I've been eating either peanut butter and dill pickle or peanut butter and honey instead of jam.

We use grape for PB&J but my MIL gave us banana jelly once and my kids loved it. I tried to find it but never could, and I never remember to ask her where she got it.
Whe use strawberry and raspberry on toast, and we get it from a local farm, its so good.

apricot is my favourite. Strawberry or grape get used a lot too.
I like plum and lemon (and apricot) on scones and biscuits though.

Strawberry. Always strawberry.

I don't like jelly, but I love PB sandwiches!

So my daughter isn't the only one. She takes a peanut butter sandwich for lunch every day. Just peanut butter and bread, nothing else and definitely not jelly.

I had a friend growing up who always requested "peanut butter and jelly without the jelly!"

We use strawberry and peach, as they are the freezer jams we make every year. But I also keep grape around, as some of DS's friends only like grape.

Apple jelly, unless I have Fluff in the cupboard. Fluff will always win the battle over jelly...even apple jelly.

My DS uses only grape, period! (Took PB&J with grape for an entire school year one grade, every day)

My DD uses strawberry but will use grape if no strawberry, and also likes honey.

I'll use either but I also like it just plain.

I'll eat any flavor but if I have a choice Strawberry would be first. My son won't eat jelly but likes Marshmallow Fluff - Fluffernutter!

my oldest is another just PB.

The other two put anything on it. Middle prefers grape but will eat strawberry jelly (not jam though). Youngest loves blackberry preserves on it. I'm having fun with cherry preserves. I don't eat alot of PB&J. Hubby lives for it and it's only grape--I swear he suffers withdrawl symptoms from lack of PB.

Strawberry
never Jelly though
always Jam or Preserves

I love Dickinson's Marion blackberry preserves on my PBJs. After discovering this tasty stuff, I haven't touched grape jelly or strawberry jam since. Try making peanut butter jam thumbprint cookies with a dollop of this preserve in the middle, it's sooooo good.

For a PB&J sandwich, it must be grape.

For toast....anything else will do. And why is it, that when I go to Waffle House, Huddle House, IHOP, or a diner they have mixed fruit, but it is not sol din stores. Mixed fruit is really apple mixed with grape, but since we use very little jelly*, I am not about to buy a jar of grape and apple and mix. I want it already mixed, darn it!

*we use sooo little jelly that a few months ago I went to make my daughter a PBJ as a late quick dinner and found mold on the jelly. So now, when I get int he mood for toast/PBJs etc, I buy a new jar every few weeks. Even if the old jar is baely used. Now lets not even get into the bottle of ranch dressing in my fridge door or BBQ sauce.

Only grape, and I have to have a glass of milk with the sandwich too, or it's just not right.

I like other jellies on toast, but only the grape can go with peanut butter.

I think I know what I'm having for lunch today! I have a nice fresh loaf of Wonder Smart. Now after what the last poster said, I wonder if we have any good jelly. :rolleyes1

Growing up it was always grape in my house..my husband always had strawberry.
After we got married, we went with one jam only and the winner was strawberry-I like it so much better than grape!
Every so often, I buy jams from a place in Lancaster, PA and I always get mixed fruit and raspberry-seedless jams only, noting nastier than seeds in jam-but I don't use them with pb.

My DD8 is the PB&J princess. She takes it every single day to school. Not almost every day, we are talking every single day. When she was younger and we'd go out to lunch and she'd have something other then PB&J, she'd come home and say I didn't give her lunch. To her, lunch was not food consumed mid-day, it was PB&J and if she didn't get it, she hasn't had lunch. She doesn't tire of it, and boy is she easy to shop for. The other 2 girls take it usually 3 days a week, but they like the break from it, she does not.

Anyway, to answer the question, my favorite is cherry preserves. :lovestruc Next is strawberry, then probably mixed berry preserves. Grape isn't one of my favorites (though it is the only one we used for PB&J milkshakes, go figure?) While grape and strawberry are used up the most around here, we use all kinds of preserves, jams and even marmalade. Great, now I want PB&J.

Oh, and today I made the girls PB and blackberry jam. I am off to make another I think...
