My daughter purchased an item on another site for $125. It was described as being in very good used condition.
When it arrived, it was damaged and not usable without having someone repair it (which she couldn't do herself). She contacted the seller who had a snotty attitude about it (said she overlooked it and didn't see the big deal - just get it fixed). My daughter didn't buy something with the intention of having it fixed. Plus, the seller's bad attitude made it worse.
They have emailed back and forth several times, and the seller has agreed to refund the money less the shipping cost but wants DD to send the item back first.
I've only used Paypal for ebay, and I know how that works. Is there anything she needs to do to make sure she gets her money back? I know she needs to at least do delivery confirmation, but I wonder whether she needs signature confirmation (and whether the woman would go to the post office if she wasn't home when the package was delivered).
Any input? Thanks!
