Payng FW balance with a gift card

Has anyone done this -or tried to do this?

Is a GIFT card (not credit) accepted as payment on the balance when you arrive at FW? If so - how was your experience? Did you pay with multiple ones?

I was considering buying these a little at a time, ahead of time but I don't (can't ) be stuck with them. Any help will be appreciated!

Gift cards are now accepted at all Disney Front Desk for payment. It just may not be placed on the reservation for charging priveleges on your KTTW cards.

Yes, I used some in December to pay on my account at Ft. Wilderness. They had to figure out how to do it, but it is most definitely allowed.
