Payless car rental

Does anyone have any experience with this company? I realize you have to take a shuttle. On airport rentals at MCO for April are very high. Even Payless is more than we have ever paid before.

I have had only good experiences with Payless, but that was, er, they were all, more than 10 years ago.

Payless (and a few others) reserve the right not to rent to you if you decline their rental extra coverages and you also do not have insurance on your own car back at home that has those coverages (you would have to bring proof). But they never asked me.

Payless is a "local" company as opposed to a "national" company so if push came to shove then the dispute would have to be resolved in a Florida court.

Well, no. Payless is a national company serving about 120 locations countrywide. I believe its offices are currently based on Oklahoma.

Okay, scratch what I said about "local" and "national" and Florida.

Once I arrived early for my rental and they just gave me the car when I arrived.

Once I arrived early for my rental and they refused to give me the car early. I waited until the reservation time and they gave me the car normally.

Once they offered me an upgrade for an extra cost. I declined. Then they gave me the car normally. The car I got looked like the upgrade they wanted to upsell me to.
