Paying partly with Points and partly with Money?

Hi there,

Okay, so say I want to take a trip to Disney World in august and stay in villa. And lets say its 260 points to go, and my membership only gives me 200 points. Could I just pay what I could with my points and just pay the rest of the trip in cash/credit card? (To make up for the last 60 points) Or do I have to take points from my next year's set of points? Or even upgrade my membership to 260 points per year? Thanks

You can do some nights points, some cash. You can't split a single night points & cash. You can buy up to 24 one time use points @ $15 each to finish off a night. "Upgrade your membership" would mean adding another contract.

I would suggest borrowing from next years points. If you find you are needing to do that every year, then you may want to think about an add on.

I too would borrow. Options would include using points and getting additional nights in one of several ways.

1. renting from another member
2. cash through MS
3. cash through CRO
4. getting points transferred in

Each has benefits and pitfalls. In general I think it's best to use your points then if you have to plan an entire trip without points, do that over a piece here and there. One issue for cash is getting a specific view type.

We will never have enough points for HH in August nor find them available but you can always get cash! So last year we did 4 on cash and 2 on points. Same thing this year and we book at 11 months out.
