Okay, no trip planned yet, but seriously considering for fall 2014 for DD's 4th birthday :)

We would buy the DDP, but wondering if there are meals you'd pay OOP for even while on the plan? :confused3
Specifically I was wondering about Cinderella's Royal Table, since its two credits (and works out to be 4 adult and 4 kid credits ~$320 worth of dining credits).

We went ealy this year for our older daughters birthday, but didn't do CRT - so I was thinking to try a few different places if we go again next year....

Thanks for your input...

There is no reason you can't pay out of pocket especially if you feel it is better to use the credits elsewhere. With CRT you are going to prepaid when you make the reservation. Just make sure of course that you have enough other TS meals scheduled so you don't waste the credits you have paid for

We've done it every trip! Especially when DD was younger. For example, we went to the Cali Grill and paid oop for DD saving TS credits for another meal for DH and myself plus another oop for DD! Works great!

I was wondering the same thing. I did the math and CRT is cheaper than two other meals we had planned. I am going to pay OOP for CRT and use those two credits elsewhere.

You may want to split this one up and pay OOP for adults and DDP for the kids. Price points for kids at CRT are $36 (B), $38 (L), and $43 (D). The daily price for kids DDP is $20, so even with breakfast, you're getting two QS and two snacks for $4.

and this is why I love reading DIS boards!!! I learned something about oop vs credits on the kids on the previous post, excellent point.
I know we have used 2 credits for Le Cellier and then on another day we just paid for a counter service instead of paying for a table service somewhere. So we had 2 CS on one day. We were fine with it to save a little money.
But anyway excellent points. I learn so much!
