Paying off Resort with a Disney CC?

My aunt has offered to pay off our resort balance with her Disney Credit Card, she has a high limit and never uses it. My question is, since she is not traveling with us, will they allow us to pay by phone without bringing her card with us (since she won't be coming) ?

Hi your aunt will have to call WDW ressies prior to your trip and pay-off your resort balance. At check-in they require a credit card for room charges etc.

I can almost guarantee you they will let you.

We had two reservations in October-one for WL and one at VB
My dad gave me his credit card and told me to call and put the balances on it. He was not traveling with us either.

I called Disney-they took the numbers-credited our reservations and said "you must have a nice dad"

They never asked to speak with him or anything. I kind of thought at least they would do that.

We received a new conf. letter showing our new "deposit" amount on it about a week after we called.

When we checked in the CM's said "oh, i see your stay is payed for, enjoy"

It does help! My aunt is doing this so we will have more "spending" money and we intend to help pay her bill in the future (though she says it is a Christmas gift for us and the kids) I just didn't want to get down there and have to "deal" with anything.

My Dad paid for our first trip to Disney and put it on his credit card. It was no problem, they didn't ask us anything about it when we checked in. As long as the reservation is in your name, you have i.d., and you have your own credit card in your name to use for room charges and express check out if choose to do so, it won't even be an issue. All she should need to do is call with her card and give them your names and your ressie number and it should be smooth sailing from there!

You probably should have your aunt call, but like I said-I made the call myself with my dad's cc

I think we may have just lucked out with the CM taking our reservation

They never said anything at either place when we checked in-all they look at is if you have a balance to pay and what credit card you want to use for room charges

An added bonus for us was when we checked in to WL they gave us a cheaper room rate and that showed a credit on our account of almost $400, which we used by charging things back to our room. We weren't expecting this so it was a huge treat to have $400 extra to spend(from my dad no less)

That is so nice of her. I am sure she will have no problem paying your bill over the phone with her card... tell her to let them know it is a Christmas present to you and your family!
