Paying MF with Disney Dollars Question

I want to pay my annual dues with Disney Dollars earned from our Disney Chase VISA, but how do I go about this. I know I have to call them, but do I have to get the $ loaded to a redemption card first? Or can they just deduct them?

I tried calling DVC billing and the # has been busy all morning. Is this normal? Is there phone system on the whack?

You have to get a redemption card and transfer the dollars to it before you can do anything with those reward points.

It's normal for this time of the year. Since DVC doesn't consider dues late until 2/15, I always pay mine in early February - after the December booking frenzy dies down. I have to call because I use my reward points to pay a portion of my dues.

Looks like your question has already been answered, that yes, you do need to move the points onto a redemption card before calling.

One minor point that I'll point out to save you any possible confusion with DVC is that they're call Disney Visa Reward Dollars. If you ask Member Services if you can pay with "Disney Dollars," they're likely to tell you that you cannot. That's because they'd probably think you're talking about these Disney Dollars, which can only be spent in-person at the resort:
