This was my experience, as I also am one of those who like to have everything "Paid in Full" before my trip. We pay our deposit and then I generally like to pay about 6-8 weeks in advance the balance of our reservations. This works fine with Disney. However, when I have called to pay our balance at USF they act as though they've never heard of this before. The reservationist said in a matter of fact way that I can just pay at the front desk when I arrive. Well, I stated that I really would prefer to pay for everything up front and not have to worry about that when I arrive. I was put on hold for about five minutes and he came back and asked if I had a fax machine. I told him I didn't at the moment, but I would be able to fax info on Monday morning. He put me on hold again for about five minutes and then proceeded to give me the email address of the Universal accouting department and ended the call. Well, at this point I just said "forget it" I'll pay when we get there.
I really don't understand why they have no problem taking a deposit over the phone. But it's a big production to pay the balance of your reservation, especially when your using the same Credit Card. When I called Disney the CM gave me the correct balance, asked if I was using the same card and said "ok, your all set." I don't get why it's so difficult to do this USF. I would figure that a lot of people would prefer to do this, or maybe it's just me. Does anyone know??
