This may be a dumb question, but can the gift cards be used to pay for our MYw package AFTER we've put the entire balance on our Disney visa? In other words can we use the gift cards to pay off the credit card balance?

Thanks for these tips, guys. I just got back from Target where I used the 5% off mailer coupon to purchase $500 in gift cards (all they had in stock). I do not have a Red card, so I was not able to stack the discounts, but hey, it's an extra $25 in my pocket and all I had to do was call the reservations line and read the poor CM my 10 card numbers.

I have paid for two Disney vacations using the Target cards. I only had an issue once, and I think that was due to Target staff not all being on the same page. I usually buy between $400-$1000 worth at a time, but this time as I got up to the register, a senior staff member was nearby and said I could only purchase 4 cards. I told her I had always bought this many and she refused. She wouldn't even let my DBF (who lives in another state) buy 4 with his card because she said it was "4 per household". We just left, came back the next day, bought $1000 in cards. That cashier was newer, stopped a manager and asked about a limit. She smiled and said, no, you can buy as many as you want. Just shows if you have trouble once, just walk away and come back another day
