Paying for southwest tickets with GC

So upon reading a few posts, I think I see that buying WDW tickets online is not going to work with using a bunch of $50 target gift cards? Is that correct?
How does southwest work? If i buy a bunch of $50 SW gift cards ..can I purchase flights with those online?

You can only use 4 methods of payment per booking or 3 gift cards and one credit card if 4 gift cards doesn't cover the entire flight.

If you decide to use the gift cards, I suggest making separate reservations per one-way and even per person (so long as all people will have access to check-in 24 hours beforehand.)

Did this recently change? It used to allow 4 methods of payments. One could only use 3 credit/gc entries only if you still needed to be able to pay the balance with a cc.

You can also purchase SW gift cards at a discount at BJs in $100 increments. I had a 6 SW gift cards & a discount from mycoke rewards. I was purchasing 4 tickets. I had to split my purchase. I used the my coke rewards discount on 3 of the tickets with 3 gift cards. In a separate transaction purchased the 1 remaining ticket & used the other 3 gift cards. Used my Disney Visa to cover remaining balances.

I also save Coke reward points but haven't had the opportunity to redeem them for SWA travel yet. Is there a limit on the number of times one can redeem them? I have around 600 Coke points. Maybe I should enter some to dh's email address if we even want to get more than 1 Coke redemption code.

You are correct! I wasn't thinking when I typed that! Will edit it It should say if you can't pay for it with FOUR gift cards then you can only use 3 and pay the rest on a credit card. Thanks for pointing out my mistake

It's been a LOOOONG time since I was able to snag a price drop for credits with SWA so I was hoping the rules hadn't changed.

Also, check giftcardgranny.com for larger denominations. I've been able to snag a few $100 gift cards at 5% before.
