Paying for "Room Only" Reservation

Is it correct that I don't pay for a room only reservation until I check in? I've always had some kind of package before that I had to pay 45 days before and it feels weird not having to pay until I get to WDW. I know I'm being paranoid, but I just wanted to double check that the CM was correct.

Well, you need to leave a deposit equal to one night's stay w/ tax, then the balance is due upon arrival. You will be penalized if you cancel less than 6 days before arrival.

Yes, you pay for the first night prior to arrival and then the rest at check-in.

You can always pay off your reservation ahead of time if you want ... I've done that a couple of times

Thanks for your replies. I feel better. I did pay the one night deposit when I made the reservation so I guess I'm ok. I got the AZZ code rate for WL and didn't want to mess anything up.
