I'm leaving our rental car in the port parking lot for our 3 day cruise ... can you pay the fee with a credit card or do you need to pay in cash?

I'm trying to calculate the amount of cash I need to bring for our land/sea vacation.

Thanks!

It used to be that you did need cash, but I seem to recall that sometime in the last two years they started taking credit cards.

I paid with a credit card in July 2003.

Unless it's gone up recently, it's $10/day and they DO take MC & Visa.

Why pay for a rental car to be parked at the port

First u have the price of the rental car x 3 and then parking x 3

why not use one of the Rental Co ...in port area

I assume you are renting Car in Orando and driving to the port ???

here is a link to Daves site and he xplains rentals

http://www.dcltribute.com/carhire/

this may save u some money ....

u could do a one way rental From Mco Airport to the car rental place at the port Free shuttle to the ship...

and then tke shuttle back to car rental place AFter cruise
Get rental go on your way .....

Because I'm lazy :)

Actually we're spending 5 days in WDW before the cruise and it was cheaper to rent for the entire week ... not to mention the hassle of dropping the mini-van off, getting a shuttle to the terminal and doing it in reverse 3 days later.

And I *HAVE* to have a car at WDW ... just can't survive w/o my own set of wheels. :hyper:

It is cheaper for us to rent a car and keep it for 4 nights at disney and a 4 night cruise even considering paying the parking so that is what we are doing. I was surprised this was the case but glad since it will be so much easier.

Back to the original question, yes, you can definitely pay with a credit card. That has been an option for about the last 2 years. (maybe more...I lose track of time). Before that, you did need cash

We paid by credit card back in 2002 and you could also pay by credit card when I was there this past May.....
I TOTALLY agree with you about having a car at WDW...I am just NOT a bus person...I hate being at the mercy of the bus schedule to come and go places....much easier to hop into the car and go, I am more than willing to pay for that convenience!

I paid with a credit car on the 04/04/04 Wonder cruise...
