Paying for meals with Disney Gift Cards?

I know that the restaurants in Downtown Disney don't accept Disney Gift Cards (unlike at Disney Springs).

Do the 3 on property hotels and the in-park restaurants accept them? Besides using them for mobile orders at QS?

Any Disney owned location that accepts credit cards can take a Disney gift card.

I don't understand why a previous poster couldn't use a Disney GC at Gibson Girl. I have mobile ordered from there and used a gift card as payment with no problem.

Yeah, I wasn't very happy that visit to Gibson Girl. Mobile ordering was down at the moment, and I stood in line for 30 minutes to get the peppermint ice cream offering -- which I wouldn't normally do but it was the last Saturday of the holiday season and I was so looking forward to it. I stepped up to order and they said, "We ran out yesterday." It was still listed on the mobile order menu. So I ordered something else that I didn't really want, but I had waited so long already, and then tried to pay with my Disney Gift Card. "We don't accept Disney Gift Cards here." I didn't walk away a very happy customer.

I paid with a Disney gift card at Gibson Girl on February 2nd, with no issues. So odd they didn't accept them!

My son was disappointed that they are still out of butter pecan. It's on the menu but after we waited in line the CM said they were out and have been for months and probably will still be for months. (We were there over Christmas and they were out). That's disappointing that they can't cover the menu board.

I think some CMs don't know how to take gift cards and may incorrectly say they don't take them. I was at Lamplight Lounge once where we wanted to use up the value of the gift card and put the rest on my credit card. The CM processing our bill needed some help on how to run that transaction through the machine.

I wonder if the mobile ordering being down meant their ability to take gift cards was also down.
