I haven't really been around this year (last visited dlp last Christmas, and no trips planned currently :( ) so may have missed something ... have dlp been charging for fastpasses?

I was speaking to someone today who said they went in the summer, and was complaining about the crowds/queues - I said we don't queue for the big rides as we always fastpass them, and he said they refused to pay extra for fastpasses. He said they were 3 euros each per fastpass?

I've just looked on the website and it definitely says they're free, but were they charging for them in the summer??

I think I saw some sort of fastpass which was about €60 per day per person where you could just walk upto any fastpass ride and go through immediately

Not sure how many people could justify that sort of price on top of your entrance

Standard Fastpass is free. It always has been and probably always will be.

You can pay for premium fastpasses that cost around 80euros a day which mean you can just join the fastpass queue without getting a ticket from the machines. Guests in suites, Empire State Club and Castle Club get this service free of charge.

I've never heard of a fastpass for 3euros and don't believe Disney have ever sold ones for around that price.

Perhaps they're referring to the old white fastpass tickets that you could buy on ebay? They simply acted as an extra park ticket (though wouldn't give you access to the parks) which meant that you could print an extra fastpass during each timeslot. I believe that these no longer work though as Disney put a stop to them.

If you buy a special fast pass, can they be used by different people? I.e. a family of4 buy 2 and share them during the day.

Yes you can.

At 80euros per day though it's far too expensive. There's not enough rides with fastpass to merit it.

Interestingly enough, there was a thread on here a week or so ago about some new fastpass tickets that have popped up on ebay. They're valid for 2 days for up to 5 people. I think they were around £140. They have good feedback but buy at your own risk!

I'm guessing they're the passes offered to guests in suites and castle club. Probably an employee who's managed to steal a load and is now selling them on. Or possibly a guest who has produced a forgery (it would be easy enough to do tbh).

Thanks, I'm pretty sure they weren't talking about the old ebay ones - I got the distinct impression that they hadn't done much (if any) research into DLP, they just went in the middle of summer and were surprised to find it was busy! lol So it would have been fastpasses available at the park.

That's a relief anyway, I was getting worried already for our (hopefully!) trip next year!
