Paying for extra points question

Sorry if this has been discussed before - I did not see it anywhere.

If I have, say, 230 points but want to make a ressie that requires 240 points, can I just pay for the extra 10 points? If so, how much does Disney charge?

No you cannot buy points from Disney. You would have to borrow them from a future use year (best option really for 10 points) or have another member transfer points to you.

You could do an add-on contract and purchase those points from Disney for the rest of the contract. That's about $110 a point, plus any costs.

What you can do is pay cash for a night if there is availability. For example, an OKW 1 bedroom in May is 20 points per weeknight but 48 for a weekend night. I wanted to say 6 nights. Rather than blow 48 points for 1 night, I would use points for the weeknights and cash for the weekend night. At the time I did it, it was $325 for 1 night, so actually under $7 a point. I did not want to add-on.
