I booked my cruise through cruise.com, and since then my agent has gone on maternity leave and decided not to come back so I don't really have anyone over there that I can just shoot an email to. (I was told to just call customer service and they'll answer my questions, but I'm very much in need of hand-holding since this is our first cruise! LOL!)
Anyway...will I get anything mailed to me about the excursions, like the date they become available for me to book. And do you pay for the excursions when you book them or afterwards on the ship??
Thanks again to everyone...you guys are SO helpful! I can't imagine taking this trip without these boards!!:D

I also booked through a .com. Disney service reps told me that you can not book excursions until 60 prior to your cruise departure date.
We are also first time cruiser (4/3/04).
Does anyone else know more?

We recieved our "excursion" reservation for about 60 days out. We reserved thru disney directly.......I don't know if that is an option if you have booked thru a TA. (That's why I always book directly thru DCL) Our excursion tickets were in our room when we boarded in an envelope on our bed. They billed our shipboard account.

We are taking our first (land/sea) vacation to Florida next month (cruise-feb 15). I booked our shore excursions this month. I called an 800 number but got put on hold for a long time. I e-mailed my requests and got same day confirmation of my reservations! Here is the e-mail address...

dcl.shore.excursions@disneycruise.com

They need your cruise dates and your cruise reservation number. They also need to know who would like to do what and on which island. Our children are 14 & 17 and the 17-year-old wanted to do things (parasailing) that others did not so we got him what he wanted and the other child wanted to do whatever I wanted to do. Hubby didn't want any reservations, wanted to play it by ear.

I recommend the e-mail. Good luck and have a great trip!

COOL! Thanks a million!!! :wave2:

Since you booked thru a TA, your TA will receive the excursion pamphlet and price list for your cruise...it is then supposed to be forwarded to you.

60 days before your cruise date, you can call DCL's 800 number and book any excursions you wish. If you don't get the info from your TA or don't have your booking number, you can do it by your name and sailing date. You can make any changes up to 2 days before your sailing date (based on availability). After that, you pay even if you cancel.

Excursions are billed for your excursions on your stateroom account when you board.

You can also do it by e-mail IF you have all the information needed (booking number.)
