Paying for Dining Plan with Disney Gift cards??

I was wondering, when we check in to AKV and we pay for our dining plan can we use Disney gift cards? Thank you.

Yes. If you do online checkin, don't enter a CC# as it will be charged for the dining plan on your checkin date.

Yeah....I made that mistake at BWV. Funny though. We were staying at Jambo House for one night before moving to BWV...got the ddp for that one night, two days. I did online checkin. When we got to AKL, I paid for dining with one of my gift cards..no problem.

BUT...when we got to BWV, my friend took out her cash to pay for her ddp, while I took out my gift cards to pay for mine. Nope, the ddp had already been paid for via the credit card that I left when I did online checkin. I was not a happy camper. Sure, my friend gave me her cash, but having cash in hand is a very bad idea for me...spend it way too easily. I had planned on just paying for my ddp with my gift cards and then not having many expenses that had to be on my room charge. Trying to pay off that old credit card debt. BUT...Disney sure didn't help my payback plans... not with putting that charge through. Huge pain.
