paying for dining plan w/gift cards

We are renting points in April from a dvc owner and are doing the dining plan. We have to pay for the dining plan when we arrive at the Boardwalk. Can I use Disney Gift Cards to pay for that? We received over 500.00 in gift cards & my rewards points and I was hoping to use them to pay down on our dining plan. Thanks!

Just did this myself in December. No problems at all!!!!

Don't do online check-in with a credit card, they will automatically charge the dining plan to the credit card (others have reported this). I wouldn't do online check-in at all since you will need to have someone run the gift cards at the front desk. There's never much of a line at BW.
