Paying For Cash Nights

I want to pay for our cash night now (we go in July) and when I phoned MS a couple of months ago they said I couldn't pay until July,

People on the UK site are paying for say the POP century resort in advance. is this because its not a DVC resort or do you think I should try again.

DVC member services does not have an accounts receivable system for collecting deposits. So if you book through DVC member services, you cannot pay in advance. People booking POP are booking through CRO (Central Reservations Office) and they do collect (actually require) deposits.

MS does not accept payments for cash ressies.

You pay the hotel directly upon check in.

Wow I wasn't even aware that you could book cash nights at non-DVC resorts through MS. We always go through CRO so we can get our AP discounts... I am new to DVC too, learn something new every day!

You can't, MS can only take reservations for points at non-DVC resorts. DVC resorts can be points or cash through MS.
