Paying for car rental question

We have a car reserved through Enterprise. My mother wants to pay for it but my husband will be driving. Can we use her credit card when picking up the car or should I have a credit card in my husbands name?

We've always been able to change payment method when we're checking out with our car (generally national, which is the same company as enterprise). I doubt if it would matter that it wasn't his cc.

It has to be in your husband's name for the authorization. When you return the car, you can use your mother's card. This has happened to me when my mom was traveling with me. I still had to use my card at pick up.
