Paying dues with gift card?

I had read previously about paying my dues with gift cards, and how to get an even better deal on gift cards at Target. Well, back when Target had their 10% off on Target gift card deal, I bought some planning to buy Disney gift cards online with my Target gift cards and RedCard. Unfortunately I've procrastinated and just discovered today that you can't buy Disney gift cards on Target.com. I also logged into my DVC account to go to pay my dues, and there's no option there to pay with gift cards.

I'm wondering...did I make a big mistake? Can I still pay with Disney gift cards if I call in? (Member accounting is closed on the weekends, so I can't call to ask.) I don't want to go to Target and use my gift cards to buy Disney gift cards if I can't use them for my dues, as I'm not sure we'll be taking a Disney trip this year and I wouldn't be able to use Disney gift cards for anything other than my dues. If I can't pay dues with Disney gift cards, I'd rather just keep my Target gift cards.

I also noticed that dues are technically due on 1/15 (oops...I had in my mind the end of the month!) but are not assessed any late fees until Feb. something. Does the fact that I haven't paid by Jan 15th affect my ability to use Disney gift cards, if it's even possible at all?

Dues are due on 1/15 and late on 2/15.

You have to call in order to pay with gift cards.

Gift cards go in and out of stock on the Targt website frequently.

they will only take a few gift cards over the phone. you are better off using https://www.disneygiftcard.com/ or https://disneyvacationaccount.disney.go.com/ to combine all your gift cards before calling.I paid with DVA this year using Disney gift cards I got from target.

I paid over the phone with gift cards I bought during a grocery store promo. They take a max of 5. I combined mine on the website to 2.

Anybody have trouble with the gift card site tonight? I tried to login and it said my account was locked. It emailed me a code to change my password, and when I used it and created a new password, it said it couldn't log me in right now, try later. When I tried later, it said my account was locked. Repeat. Repeat. Is it just me? I need to combine a few more cards before paying dues tomorrow!

We have always paid our dues with gift cards. I call them in to MS. This was the first year with the new policy. It was very simple to create a Disney Gift Card account and combine our gift cards. Here is the new Policy :

Disney Vacation Club has a new policy that affects members who use Disney Gift Cards to pay their annual dues obligation for the year. Effective immediately, a limit of five gift cards can be used toward annual dues payments. However, Disney allows guests to combine values from multiple gift cards to a single card on DisneyGiftCard.com. Annual dues balances will be posted around the start of the year, and payment is due by January 15 with a 30-day grace period before any late fees or penalties are applied.

Now, at disneygiftcard.com, I'm getting the error "Sorry, we are experiencing an interruption in our service. Please try again later or use ticket number.[.].when contacting support. Thank you." So, as I suspected after three password resets last night, it's not my password. But I'd still like to know if everyone is experiencing this, or if it really is just my account and I should contact their support line.
