with the £ high against the $,were thinking of paying of when were there in august if still at the $2.00 mark.Would get the cash from a free atm using our nationwide card to get dollars at good rate. Can you pay into your account at a DVC resort your staying at.Or can you pay with CC while there (using our nationwide CC again)

Something I am looking into at the moment is using a $ debit card. I am in Florida at the moment and just bought AKV Sunday while doing the paperwork we left our credit card number for the fees later in the year which will expire next year. The legal person said that the next time we can see the fees statement online and pay using a credit card.

Instead of travelers cheques we got a $ visa debit card from travelex this time. What I have been thinking is that I can keep it charged when the exchange rate is good and then use this to pay the fees each year? Travelex website also has a rate alert feature so I could get it to email me every time the rate is above a certain level and put a few more $s on it.

Does anyone know if this will work, online does it display $ I am assuming so.
Regards
Steve

Not sure myself. I was thinking of paying it using my HSBC 0% for a year card at the moment with the high dolla rate. I was going to pay online now. Can you do this?:confused3

at moment we use our nationwide cc as we get a better rate. But have heard that you are unable to pay up frount. So will stick with nationwide to get the better rate would have loved to lockin todays rate:sad1:

Hi,
We have paid our dues in advance for the last 2 years. We rang the member services number and selected the member accounting option. We have used our Nationwide cc and also our Amex tc card. One issue we have had is because we have 5 seperate DVC accounts (who says DVC isn't addictive!!)and at the time of payment the actual dues amount isn't known if a small balance is left on one account they take the full amount again on the cc they have on file. This has happened to us on both occasions despite being told after the first time it was sorted. It wasn't too much of a problem as they refunded the difference and gave us $25 credit for the inconvienence.

Mick.
