paying deposit on on board booking with gift cards

Good Morning Diser,

I am preparing my budget for our next cruise. We have been purchasing Disney gift cards to add to our account on the ship but I am not sure if we can pay our deposits of our on board bookings with them. I remember when we booked our last cruise, they asked for a credit card which wasn't the one we used for our account on board.

They don't charge the deposit to your on board account which would be the only way to use a gift card for the deposit. They either ask for a CC or use the one you have on file. Be prepared with a CC.

Thank you! I thought so. This way we don't buy too many gift cards thinking we could use them.
