So I booked my reservation with Costco, and then a few weeks later I funded a DVA with about 20% of my remaining balance. I then called DCL to apply funds from my DVA to my balance, and everything went great--CM was very helpful and took care of the transfer quickly. He did explain that since it's a Costco reservation that this is the ONLY thing he could help me with, but it was a pain free transaction.
Fast forward to now, and I've funded my DVA with the remainder of the balance. I called the same number this morning, and the CM was pretty much useless. He said that I would have to call Costco Travel and get them to initiate a 3-way call to handle the transfer. I asked if this was a change in policy from the last couple of months and he said "no". I told him that there was no issue when I had attempted the same transaction a couple months earlier, and he very rudely told me "I don't care what other agents have done, I'm not going to take the penalty by interfering with a travel agent's reservation". I then politely told him that I would try back later when I could get someone who can help me and hung up.
Just to make sure I'm in the right here...what number do you call to execute this transaction? Is there a "magic word" I need to say to get them to do it? A little frustrating since it was so easy when I did this before and now I've got a huge chunk of change tied up in my vacation account. Any advice is welcome...
