paying cash for hhi

We would like to do a hhi 2br stay next Summer. I was wondering if wanted to pay cash for 1 or 2 nights, what would we expect to pay?

Range is around $450 - 500 per night not including tax for 2 bedroom villa during summer season; sometimes DVC member 25% cash discount is available.

You can try this link too for cash price info; I keyed in aug 4 and before tax $480, if I remember correctly prices decrease around end of august/early september.

Yikes! Are 2br there are dedicated or lockoffs?

According to Webmaster Doc's great Resource thread there are 76 dedicated and 21 lock-off 2br.

We just cancelled a HH reservation because I could not justify that cash amount when I still had points! It was 1290 for 4 nights - and that was WITH a member discount! It was over 1600 for 4 nights. That rate was for a 2 bedroom ( didn't have the option of dedicated or lock off so unsure which it was ) for either June, or over 4 th of July weekend.

Just couldn't do it. Although the resort is wonderful. We loved it there last October.

I booked for August 19-23 on cash yes it is very pricy. $1600 for 4 nights in a 2 bed. But Mom is turning 80 and we are having a Birthday party plus have ther's staying off site too. Is it worth that amount. Absolutely!

The discounted member price for this summer is $399.90 for a 2BR.

The resort will usually not resserve the lock-off 2BRs as a 2BR unless needed as a HCA villa. They are normally used only as Studios and 1BR villas.

I'm surprised that anyone would pay 66 pts per night on the weekend when you can pay $400/night. It's almost hard to justify the 41 pts per night during the week.
