If I charge everything to my room at the Poly tomorrow can I pay for it using a Disney Gift Card before it would get charged to my Visa? Anyone with experience on this? Thanks!
When you check in, you give the CM a credit card that is run thru for up to $1500.00. When it clears, they allow charging on your room key card, that is then charged to your credit card at the end of stay. Perhaps you can make alternate charging arrangements at check in.
I always bring a gift card. I load funds on it every time I'm at the mall. When I check in, I give it to the cast member and it shows up as a credit to your bill immediately. They deduct charges from it first and then charge any balance you've incurred to your credit card on file.
Didn't think of that! Wasn't sure if I wanted to use the gift card as I went along or just charge to the room & pay for it all at once. I guess either way it will work.
I used my Disney rewards card to pay for some of my charges last year. Some of the resorts will let your room charges go to a point and then charge your credit card. I had this happen at $800.00 once and I was staying at a 1500.00 limit resort. The good thing about that is my allowance was never maxed out. That happened last year, and I was embarassed when my room key charge was declined. Kinda of lost track of what I charged, we put everything on it. After a few days, when you may have an idea of how much you put on the room just go down to the front desk and have them use your gift card toward the room charges.
At WL the limit was $1500....Every two days or so, I would go to the front desk and pay cash for any charges we had incurred....This way nothing ended up on my CC...I'm sure you could do the same with a gift card.
