Hi:

Just asking for an opinion of what is more practical to pay with while inside DLR.
I know that small food carts won't take a Gift card so I will still need to carry some cash with me.

My current plan is to carry some cash, and then buy a $200 gift card and then not worrying about change or paying with CC for every single purchase we made. Knowing that we will be there for at least 6 days I know for sure we are going to spend at least 3 times that :D .

But is this a good idea? I'm assuming most of the stores, restaurants, etc will accept the disney gift card. If not then this probably wont be a good idea.

What do you guys/girls think?

That's what we do. If they take a CC you can use a Disney Giftcard (exception is some places in DTD). Even many small carts can take the gift cards, just not the rolling ones.

We used GC on our trip this past weekend. The only time we did not use them to purchase food was in DTD. Popcorn, Churros, Chimichangas, counter, Sit down all took the gift card. I think we only spent $120 out of pocket the rest was all gift cards.

Since we do not have CC's, we pay for virtually everything with a DC and carry very little cash and we save the receipts for every purchase.
