Pay to park if staying onsite?

I'd love the convenience of having a car for my stay in September but it depends on if I have to pay to park at the parks.

If we are staying onsite (sports), then do we still have to pay to park at each park? I thought I read somewhere that onsite guests just need to show their room key to avoid the parking fees. How does that work with magic bands, if that's the case.

When you check in they will give you a parking pass to keep on your dash for parking at your resort. Not sure with the MBs, but before, they just waved you through when you pulled up to the booth and they saw the pass.

As the PPs said, theme park parking is complementary for guests staying onsite. The only place where you will still have to pay for parking (if for some reason you opt to drive there and visit) are the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. They charge everyone for parking (you can get it validated at some of the dining locations).

Super! I can get a car rental for about $100 for our stay so not having to pay to park has definitely made the decision clear. Thanks guys!

yep - just show the parking pass at the ticket booth - They will look at the dates that the parking pass has on it to allow you to park free, at least they looked last week.

Just make sure with the parking pass you take it out of the window when you are driving with the windows open....I wish the catch I made of ours was on camera somewhere because it was epic
