My DW, DD and I have a ressie for our first night and I am just wondering if
we should just pay OOP right off the bat and order w/o restrictions or use up the 6 TS credits. I feel torn.
We are staying for 7 nights on DDP and do have character breakfasts scheduled.
Thanks
:confused3

It depends on if you all plan on ordering all three courses. Appetizers, main course and dessert. Then I think I would use the DDP credits but if you just plan on having the main course and maybe a drink then I would pay OOP for it.

I'm sure my wife and I will order an app and a drink. thanks for your input.

Okay, the drink's not included in the DDP (if you mean alcohol/wine) and are you going to share an appetizer or each get one? It's probably going to be more cost-effective if you pay OOP at California Grill and use your table service credits for all your other meals.

Well, we most likely will order an app each, except for my DD. My DD doesn't eat too much so I kind of feel like it would be a waste for her 2 credits.
We will at least have a drink apiece.
thanks

That's what I meant. If anything is planning on being shared then you should pay OOP for it. DDP really only breaks even if you all plan on ordering all three courses. Only non-alcoholic drinks are included in the DDP.

I went to CG with my fiance and we used the DDP because we each knew we were going to eat all three courses and cost-wise we knew DDP made it worth it. if we were planning on sharing anything we would have paid OOP and saved our DDP credits.

You could also pay for your daughter OOP and you two can used the DDP credits since you said she's a light eater.

I ate at CG in 2005 and ordered the pork tenderloin which was excellent, but it was only $24.99.I also had a flatbread which was good but I enjoyed the one better at Jiko so I would be fine without ordering it. The dessert was okay, this time I may try the banana and butterscothch buzz but will pay oop for it. While I think CG is a great restaurant I personally think that it isn't worth 2 credits by the menu choices I have made.I'd rather eat at Le Cellier twice or one of the other signature restaurants that has a more expensive entree that I would enjoy.I had okay service at CG there but I was never given bread there which I believe most patrons get there and I would like to have control over the tip of my server gets there. I think you pay for the view of the fireworks there and since the fireworks wil be over when I dine there I will make sure my server earns their tip. I think the best thing to do is look at the menu and see if the cost of the appetizers, entrees and desserts you want to order are worth using 2 credits per person or if you would be happy sharing or doing without an appetizer or dessert.I think so much depends on the menu choice you make.Enjoy whatever you decide!!!!:)
