Pay Games? What is the Deal!

I have seen alot of Pay for Game Rooms, and some people say it is aganist the VMK values and others say it is not. So which one is it. Second If it is or is not where does it state that on vmk.com?

I just looked up the VMK values and it says nothing about having people pay to get into your room or game.. however i believe that in the past staff have told people that they shouldn't make people pay to get into their room.. which i think means we shouldn't do it even though it isn't against any values

I don't think charging for game rooms is against the values but charging for quest is.

sadly it isn't against them, it is your choice to pay it. it just alot people who created silly games( like cute or boot) to get free things....

It is not against VMK "values" to have people pay to play your games.
But it is expressly forbidden to charge people to do quests.

Personally, I will never go into a room that charges for anything. If I decide to make a game, it's my responsibility to come up with the prizes.

Thank you all for your information, so it is basicaly what i thought, it is not against the vmk values (but should be) for games and is for Quest. I do think that people should come up with prizes, without trying to get stuff for it. Thank you. Mabey someday it will change but like most everything in vmk the pay for ???? games are here to stay.

I, too, never go into rooms that charge. I was bored one day and wandered into a "cafe" just for fun. There was a rope up with people behind it and quite a few people sitting at chairs & tables. When it was my turn to come in the owner opens up a trade window with me and asks how'd I'd like to pay. I just clicked out and exited the room. Why would I pay a player an item just to sit in a room and talk to other VMKers? I can do that in my own room or one of my friends rooms for free If I had stuff I didn't want or wanted to give away, I would either give them to my friends or host my own game (without charging). I'm not going to give them to some random person I don't know that are just looking for 'free'. I must admit my guilty pleasure is sometimes playing a game of cute or boot every now and then, but when the owner tells me "sorry, pay watch or boot" i just say "boot "..I never win those things anyway
