We intend to pay for one or two nights of our stay with cash and not points. How much does a typical 2-bedroom cost during peak season such as Easter week? Thanks.

It really depends on the resort too. That's peak time too. Hello, I am exit 124 but use the Cheesequake Rest Stop.

I rented a 2BR villa at the Wilderness Lodge last Christmas/New Years. The first two nights of our stay - December 30 and December 31 - the villa was $1075.00 per night. For the rest of our stay - 5 more nights, January 1 - 5 - the same villa was $610.00 per night. We had "holiday pricing" for the first two nights, obviously!!!

The total was $5200.00 for the week - luckily I was splitting it with another family, so $2600.00 for my share. It was a great vacation, but it really made me appreciate my DVC points!!! (We decided to go fairly late, with another family, and I had used up all of my 2008 points and hadn't yet hit my Use Year so that I could borrow from the next year.)

For comparison, and because it is also a "peak" week at a totally different resort, I am adding two cash nights to our stay in a 2BR villa at Hilton Head this summer. We are arriving on June 29 and leaving on July 6th. The cash nights will be July 4th and July 5th, and my cash rate is $333.75 per night. That includes the 25% member discount, I believe. The example above at the WL was full price - by the time I made those reservations all the member discount rooms had been long booked.
