Does anyone out there know how people have managed to get their names engraved into the paving stones outside of DLRP? I would love to do it as a suprise for my wife, but dont know if it is possible or not.

Any information would be great, thanks

Hi - they stopped selling these a number of years ago (although there is still plenty of space) - you used to be able to order them in the glass store on Main Street.

Thanks for that. It would have been really good to be able to do that for my other half, but what can you do!

Ill have to try and think of something else instead :D

Thats something i was wondering about too. I was thinking about it just a few days ago actually becuase we were looking at them when we were there. Shame you cant get them done anymore. But i guess there would of been too many over time?

We have one of these at WDW, shame we can't get one at DLP too.

It's a shame they aren't doing it anymore, especially as there's still lots of blank stones ~ every time I go I always pop into City Hall to see if they are re-opening the programme. I bet they think OMG, here she comes again!! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Maybe if we all asked they might re-open it ;)

I did hear that they plan to replace them after ten years but that doesn't hold up as some should have been replaced already. As said already, there is plenty of space for more and it's not like Disney to miss an opportunity to make more moeny. I would have thought 15th Anniversary stones would have been great for both the park and people buying them.

Ours has our wedding day on it as we honeymooned in DLRP :)

This is the bit I don't understand!! :confused3 ;) There is also plenty of space for more at WDW ~ they did in fact start selling a few again last year. Unfortunately we just missed out, we got as far as our application being accepted then they withdraw the programme and it was refunded. :sad2: But seeing as we've got a tile at Epcot I'd rather have had a stone at DLRP ~ it's easier to go visit!! :rotfl:

Must bring back wonderful memories every time you see it. :lovestruc :cloud9:

I'd be happy to have one and have it delivered to home - I'd quite like it in my garden if I couldn't have it located at Disney. It was one of those things we looked at lots of times and said "we must do that" and then when we got round to "doing it" they'd stopped. Lesson learnt about not putting things off.

I would love one and it's something I thought they might resurrect for the
15th Anniversary.
There seem to be so many positive reasons for doing it, space availabilty, popularity - how many times has this subject come up on here alone ? and revenue, there has to be a reason they don't, I wonder what it is :confused3

The rumour says the firm that made the paving stones went into bankruptcy.
The stones themselves are nothing special, you can buy them in every home market.
The problem is engraving the words I suppose. Each stone is different and had to be made by hand. Maybe with the new computer techniques this wood improve but the prices for everything went sky high and I don’t think it would be payable ore profitable for us ore Disney

I wish I got one sooner too, my parents were going to pay for one for my 21st but they had stopped doing it by then. Although they do have more at the Studios.

I might take a hammer & chisel next time & do one myself, anyone with me???;)
