We're getting married on 11/30 within Disneys Wedding Pavillion and the reception in GF. We're staying in the Caribbean Beach resort for our wedding week but .... I've heard for wedding guests that the Disney hotels leave little gifts for you on your pillow/in your room - is this true? If so what is left?

Also, can anyone give me any ideas for the wedding vows, would they be traditional or would the co-ordinator arrange these (I'm from England and just wondered whether vows would be american).

Thanks for the help ... for now!! princess:

The Caribbean left us a signed pic of minnie & mickey wishing us congrats on the wedding. Nothing was left for any of our guests....

Thanks for the reply, Cherie, sounds a little disappointing for Disney thought they would have left something other than signed pic!! Chocolates & Champagne?! Never mind ... will just have to wait and see what we get left!!

Hi Angela

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding :D

I am also from the UK and staying at the CBR when we go to Florida for our wedding.

As for vows, you can have whatever you want, ours is a non-religious ceremony and when we booked our officiant he sent us out a pack with several different ceremonies to look at and told us we could choose from them and change/add anything we wanted - our officiant is Rev. Jack Day and he is soooo nice.

Hope this helps :D

Hi 140905

Thanks for your reply, lovely to hear from you and about your wedding - guess you'll be even more excited than I am! How did you manage to book your officiant then? Did you do this whilst you booked your Disney Wedding package with a travel agent or was there a specific website you went on? Have you seen the Disney Weddings website it's fabulous now they've updated it! Would be nice if you could let me know how you booked your officiant.

Thanks for your help, Ang

Disney didn't leave anything for our resort guests. We did make up little welcome packages that we dropped off at the front desk of the blocked resorts for each guest room. The resort did deliver those for us.

We received stuff in our honeymoon room from the GF and BWI (we split our stay). The GF gave us an exotic fruit basket and bottled water, and the BWI gave us a Mickey/Minnie picture frame, balloons, and a signed congrats card from Snow White. :) These are not guaranteed though, it's just a matter of luck, LOL. ;)

Hi Angela

I haven't booked my wedding through a travel agent, I am going direct through Disney so I'm not sure how that works out but I'm sure there will be someone on this forum who has gone through a travel agent can help.

I'll tell you what I did anyway - when I first started thinking of a Disney wedding I came across the website www.yourfairytale.com and there is an e-book available to buy with tons of information about disney weddings, this included a list of officiants, then once I got in touch with Disney Fairytale department direct they sent me out a pack with some information and this also had a list of officiants and their phone numbers. After that I just read this forum and viewed other wedding videos to see the officiants perform a ceremony and both me and my fiance decided that we were drawn to Rev.Jack Day out of them all.

Yes, I have seen the new Disney website...it's fantastic, so much better than the old site. :D

Hi ead79

Many thanks for your reply, what you got left in your room is amazing! Did Disney upgrade your room for you when you arrived at your chosen resort? Or would we have had to book our room as a 'honeymoon suite'? when booking our package? Your photograph is fabulous too! Thanks very much, really appreciate the advice. lol ang x

Hi 140905

Thanks for your reply again, I've been on www.yourfairytale.com too quite a number of times, that's great and I know it offers loads of advice on there also! I may see if I can go on the website again and see what I can do. I've ordered DVD and brochure from the disney weddings website that should be with me in couple of weeks, maybe worth ordering one just for additional 'disney wedding magic' ideas, suggestions and wish lists!!! lol ang x
