I am a really big fan of Queen. And nobody can replace Freddy, IMO. I have never been a huge fan of Bad Company, though I guess I liked them well enough in their day. I also saw Bad Company a few years ago at a House of Blues and was not impressed with Paul Rodgers. His voice was horrible at the show I saw.
So, it was with deep trepidation that I bought "Return of the Champions", the new Queen DVD, with Paul Rodgers as the singer. And I must say he did a GREAT job. And he didn't try to replace Freddy; he just gave the songs his own style. And they were very good!
As the DVD progressed, I saw an upcoming "Oh No!" kind of moment. It was Bohemian Rhapsody. I was kinda worried as this really is Freddy's masterpiece. So, I won't give it away, but let's just say that what was on the DVD was VERY COOL. I loved how they handled it.
If you buy concert DVDs, and are a fan of Queen, I would say this is a must see, or must have.
