What can you tell me about him? I've only just "discovered" him recently, but absolutely love him. What movies of his do you like? Has he done anything other than movies that I should be on the lookout for? Thanks a bunch.

I really liked Lady in the Water. I wasn't expecting much from it, and was very skeptical after watching the opening scene, but it ended up being a pretty entertaining movie. I though Giamatti was really good in it.

Also, even though Giamatti doesn't have a huge part in it, Cinderella Man is a great movie.

Has anyone seen the previews for Fred Claus? Giamatti is Santa, and Vince Vaughn plays his brother, Fred Claus. Looks pretty funny....

I know they are running his movie "American Splendor" on HBO/Showtime....pretty good movie.

IMO that movie is by far his best permormance, but the movie certianly not for everybody.

It's based on a real guy named Harvey Pekar. People should look him up and and see if they would be interested learning more about him. Not exactly mom and apple pie.

In "Sideways", watch his face when he's listening to Virginia Madsen talk about
the grapes that are picked for the Pinot G. You can actually see him falling in
love with her. It's some of the most brilliant "nonverbal" acting EVER. He's
AWESOME.
