Does anyone know if WDW/Rose and Crown rents out their patio area (next to the outside dining area) for small parties?? Ted and I want to have our wedding dinner there.... Just wondering if anyone has done this and how much it costs!

Don't know if they would nice place to have the affair here is Rose & Crown's phone number1-407-824-2222. Good luck:bounce: :p

If you haven't already, you might want to visit our DIS Weddings and Honeymoons Board. There is lots of great information there on Disney weddings. Here is the link:

Thanks for the help! I'll let you know if we get anywhere with it!

I think you might have to go through Disney Weddings.

Actually, we have the terrace rented out for a party in 2 weeks. We are doing an Illuminations dessert party there. For our group, the cost is about $35 per person. We contacted Park Catering and Events to set it up.

I do believe though, to actually get married on the patio, you have to go through the weddings department. I'm sure you can rent it out fr a party through another department, but Disney doesnt smile on getting married and not going through them. I've actually heard your only allowed to get married on Disney Property without them knowing only if you are not in public view, ie. in a room, but not theblcony. If you are planning on having your wedding elsewhere (not on Disney property) and you just want to have dinner there afterward the you shouldnt have to go through Disney wedddings.

Thanks for all the info. We have requested info on WDW weddings but I think we'll get married off-site and have the dinner at WDW.

$35/person for dessert doesn't sound bad at all. Is there a minimum # of people?

Ted reminded me last night that all of our guests would probably need park tickets...... this would drastically increase the price.

We may have to re-think but are exploring all options. Thanks for all the info! You guys are the best!

Hey I noticed you are from NH....im moving to Laconia NH in dec. from NC!!

Hi.
We are having a dessert party and private Illuminations viewing by Rose and Crown in January. The name of the area we rented is "UK Upper Terrace." We made all arrangements through the Park Catering and Event Services Manager, Dante Gibilisco, at 407-566-6482.
The UK Upper Terrace holds a maximum of 50 people, and we needed 24 people minimum to break even for the particular dessert menu we selected (our cost came to $30.15 per person).
One thing I learned in the process is that there are tons of places of varying sizes around the WDW property where one can arrange a private event, and there are lots of choices for food and beverage. Dante can give you the particulars and even send pictures and menu ideas via email.
Hope this helps.
Janet
PS: One thing Dante told me is that you can make arrangements for guests without park passes to be escorted from the gate to your party. There is an extra charge for this, and I don't know the amount, but I belive it is much cheaper than each person buying a park pass.

We are also working with Dante. If your guests don't have park passes, there is an extra fee, (I think $12) to get into the park for just the Illuminations Dessert Party.
