I am waiting on pins and needles to find out who will be a part of the Stars Set Sail Series for DCL this year. I know that only certain special cruises get Disney on Broadway stars like the Panama Canal cruises.

My family is going on the 2019 EBPC cruise and I want to know who will be performing on our cruise! I am hoping for Ashley Brown or Josh Strickland. My family saw Josh perform on our last EBPC cruise, but I would not mind seeing him sing again.

Does DCL officially announce the stars ahead of time? We were on the Panama Canal cruise a few years ago and had no idea Susan Egan would be performing. Loved her voice.

On this years WBPC cruise we had Josh Strickland who played Tarzan on Broadway. DH met him in the gym working out and didn't know he was the Stars Set Sail Series guest.
When we went to his event in the WD Theater we stayed back a little and his father came up to us and said, "Thats my boy". He was so proud. After that we saw the father
and son all around the ship. He told us he did Tarzan in Germany and had to learn the lines in German. Quite an experience.

Steve Blanchard (actor who played the Beast on Broadway for 8 years plus US tours 11 years total) was on the EBTA this year, and I am beyond jealous at everyone who got to experience his performances.

I hope they announce it, for me that would be a selling point. But I am a Broadway geek, so probably not the average guest ;-)

I secretely hope that one day Gavin Lee (original Bert in Mary Poppins the Musical on West End and on Broadway, and recently/now Lumiere in the Papermill production of B&B) will be a guest star.

He was on the WBTA in 2015 and was fantastic :-)

Hi,
Yes, typically the schedule of Disney on Broadway performers for special cruises are announced on the Disney Parks Blog. We were on the EBPC cruise in 2015 where Susan Egan was the broadway special guest. We loved her!

I am also a broadway geek so I understand that knowing that a broadway star is sailing during a certain cruise. I secretly hope that one day Adam Jacobs (original Aladdin on broadway) is on the 2019 EBPC cruise!

Yes, the announce the list each year, but most of the time it's after the WBPC and the EBTA, so those are surprises. They seem to be really late this year

(And sorry for making you jealous ;))

Don't worry ;-) It's good because now I know for sure I want to do a longer cruise. Either PC or TA. Lea Salonga would also be a great choice.
Was it announced well in advance or just a few days before leaving Miami?

Does anyone know if the other longer cruises, like the 11 days on the Fantasy in the Caribbean, also have guest stars from Broadway?

Lea Salonga would be amazing to see on a Disney Cruise! I am not sure if the 11-night on the Fantasy in the Caribbean cruise would get a Broadway star. I have only sailed on the Wonder and Magic.

Fantasy 10 night Caribbean 2017 saw Kissy Simmons, she was excellent, also did a smaller "show", maybe it was a Q& A another day on that cruise
Fantasy 11 night Caribbean 2018 saw Heidi Blickenstaff, we left part way through, yes it may seem rude, but was not entertaining at all, and not appropriate for kids, telling them that their parents all lie, and how she left her kids at home, so she could have a good time.
