Planning on staying at OKW in october
can anyone tell me where the path is from OKW to PO located

you CAN get there from OKW. The trail is 0.93 miles along the Buena Vista golf course and the Saug,,,,,river. It also takes you past the THV's .As previously posted it's not lit @ night.

Is the OP talking about a place at DTD or to Port Orleans?

There is none, unless you are golfing. You'll need to get to DTD and then take a boat from DTD to POR/POFQ. The OKW boat arrives near Pleasure Island. The POR/POFQ boat arrives and departs near Rainforest Cafe.

This is the path to DtD, not PO. As others have said, there is no path between OKW and PO.

there is no a path - but you can get there - it requires you walking almost to the road (do the crosswalk before the road) - then you walk in the grass to POFQ - then go along it's driveway to the main building. from there you can walk along the sidewalk to POR.

now expect a bunch of posts on how dangerous this is....;):rolleyes1

this walk will take about 15 minutes. did when OKW had really, really bad bus service. was sick and mean sick - allergy reaction to lunch - well lunch at the time OKW did not have buses - saw PO bus twice and had it - we got on - Mother then watched for the buses it was another hour before any showed up at OKW.

was too sick to care.

If you take this route you may want to walk out the employee entrance for OKW, it's right across the road and a more direct shot walking. The other potential option looking at the map is to walk toward the THV and walk along the canal. It's likely shorter to the main areas of PO from the HH or similar. It LOOKS like you can get through there and that there are no physical impediments like a fence or canal but I haven't walked it, I'd be interested if anyone else has walked down that way or golfed in such a way they had a direct view of the 50 feet or so of greenery you'd have to go through.

Or if going to Riverside, you could walk the golf course itself to get there.

There is a very rough, unimproved, and unmarked path, but it crosses thru some very tough terrain (be on the watch for critters and snakes) and just takes you to the parking lot for PO. You'll need to cross a busy roadway (DVC Drive) and then navigate thru the woods and brush. We have walked it (about 18 years ago) and it was pretty rough then and has not been improved since then either.

I'd suggest taking a bus to DD and then hop a connecting bus (or boat) to PO from there. The walk is less than a mile to the PO parking lot and then another half mile to get to the resort itself but over some tough conditions. If Disney security should see you along the way, be prepared to do some explaining.

There is a paved walkway from OKW (behind Building 55) to SSR and DTD. It goes along the Trumbo Canal, past the THV and then comes to a bridge to SSR or a continued walkway to DTD. It is about 0.93 miles to Cirque or a little shorter to SSR. If is unlit and closed at night and, in addition, crossing the golf course is not allowed (ask me how I know).
