Pat O'Brien's HUGE Hurricane

DH and I were at Pat O'Brien's at CityWalk on Friday, much fun We saw another table had THE BIGGEST drink we had ever seen. It was a large version of their Hurricane drink, there must have been 10 straws in it!!

Anyone know how much those cost? How big they actually are?

Saw one on Saturday, but did not think to ask about price (were only two of us). It was huge. Don't recall ever seeing one before, could this be a new promotion?

I just went to the Pat O'Brien website and I did not see a listing for this giant hurricane that you have seen. I will have to make a point of going one night while we are there next month.

I have had these, and they are awesome! They are $7 or $8 (can't remember -- think they are $7.95?). Bonus: you get to keep the glass! Simply tell one of the staff when you are leaving, and they will package the glass up for you in a box. Yummy!

I didn't know you could take the glass, neat!

I am not talking about the regular sized Hurricanes, I am talking about one that is about 10x the size of the $8 drink. It must have been at least a gallon of liquid!

My mistake! These must be new, and I haven't seen them yet. So disregard my post. Sorry! The "regular" hurricanes are huge -- can't imagine them much bigger!!

Sounds like its served in a "fish bowl". We have a bar here that does that. You can get Long Islands Kamikazes and other "house drinks". 4-5 people sit around with huge straws and share the drink and good times. If its anything like the lounge here does it there is about 8-12 shots in each plus the mixers. They run about $20-25 here. I am sure you can probably almost double that down there.

Great idea...surprised more bars don't do it.....WIll have to check it out when we are down there.
