PAST: May 26, 2003 (Monday) - Breakfast at Towncrier's INDEXED

[Towncrier]

It's not Cinderella's breakfast, but then again, you don't have to get up at the crack of dawn and call for Priority Seating.

At last year's Memorial Day picnic, we had a lot of out-of-town guests who were still going to be around Monday morning. Not wanting the fun to end, I decided to invite people back to our home one more time for breakfast.

We will be serving scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and Belgian waffles. There will be plenty of orange juice, milk, coffee, and tea to drink. And if you want a leftover hamburger from the previous day, I'm sure that we could find one in the fridge for you.

I have to consult with DW Sue regarding a starting time. DS James is going to be marching with the high school marching band in the Memorial Day parade on Monday, so I have to get the times right or I will be in big trouble.

DW Sue says that coffee will be available starting at 8AM and that breakfast will be served at 9AM.

Last year there were a few people who ended up spending the day at Six Flags in Aurora (which is about 20 minutes from our house). If someone would like to setup a formal DISmeet over at Six Flags that day, be my guest. By Monday I imagine that I will be pretty well spent.

This sounds like a wonderful DIS-meet, John. One of these years, I'll have to take off work and fly up there.

I think that it would be great if everyone made a sign for your son and watch the parade as a group in support.

The signs are a great idea Ray. I'll have to float that idea past Sue. Perhaps we could just all give James the "loser" sign as he marches past. I know that he would get the joke.

We need to leave not so soon after that.. since we all need to go to work on Tuesday.

The hotel we are at is 2.4 miles away so we'll be staying late sunday and arriving early monday..
