I would love to come but I don't know if I have to work yet. I actually work in Pt. Pleasant at Jenkinson's Restaurant on the boardwalk. I am an acting manager now so I don't know if I would be able to take off on a weekend, but if I can, I'll let you know.

I might be able to make the meet. I can stay at my brother's house in north Jersey Sat and Sun night. Now I just have to make boarding arrangements for my dog.

I'm so bummed. I can't go because I've got to be at work in Atlantic City at 5pm...and on top of that, I don't drive so getting to Point Pleasant would be quite a difficulty. I hope you all have a great time though!!!!

I can't make it. The 13th is the last day of our vacation. We'll be in Cape May at a campground. Check-out is 11:00 am and we'll be towing our new trailer. I wish DH and I could of made it. I'd love to meet fellow Dis'ers from our area. Hopefully next time.

We just love Cape May. We went their all the time up until a coupe of years ago. We always stay at a B&B and enjoy the charm of these Victorian homes. I would be curious to know what it like camping in this area. My caamping days are over I'm afraid, but I enjoy hearing about others and their experiences. My DH's friend from HS, age 72, and his wife camp all the time in their pop up. I mean all the time. They spend months in Florida in the winter camping out. Way too rough for me anymore and I am 56.

I live just outside Philly in Bucks County - how far is it to this meet? I have an idea where point plesant is but not sure if it is an easy summer weekend drive

jdb91759 - It is probably about an hour to an hour and a half, from where you are. Once you get to 195 in NJ, the trip is very easy. If you need directions, let me know, and I can post them. Hope you are able to make it!

Edited for more info - The Lobster Shanty is on Channel Drive in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. If you plug that into www.mapquest.com from wherever in Bucks County you are, you should probably get a better idea on driving time and distance.

I wish I could go I live so close to the area I live in tomsriver but I will be at my mothers that weekend she lives in mt.holly we are going to see the duprees that weekend at the flying w in medford I won't be there but who ever gose have a great time

Man do I wish I checked the Dis Meet forum sooner! I would have love to come today because I just got back from my trip to WDW and was bummed I didn't meet any DISers down there. Unfortunately I believe this meet may be going on as I type and either way I have another commitment. But please someone PM me if there will be another NJ, NY, or even PA meet I'd love to come.
